Roberto Rodríguez Ruelas (January 7, 1909 – January 4, 1995) was a pioneering Mexican film director, producer, and sound engineer. Alongside his brother, Joselito Rodríguez, he was instrumental in introducing sound to Mexican cinema. In 1931, while working as sound engineers in Hollywood, the Rodríguez brothers were invited by President Pascual Ortiz Rubio to return to Mexico to produce sound film
